Downtown Denver isn't like the downtown in most small cities. Here we have a vibrant nightlife with resturants, clubs, store, theatres, and all of the usual activities that make a city world class.
Most of the hotels we've chosen are within a block or two of the 16th Street Mall. From your hotel you can walk over to the Denver Pavillions or catch the FREE mall shuttle for a 5 minute ride down to Larimer Square or the nightlife in LODO.
Come early or stay around for a few days and catch the Colorado Rockies play at Coors Field. They take on San Francisco on the 3rd, San Diego on the 5th, 6th (but you're busy that night) and close out the series with an afternoon game on the 7th.
On the fourth, many of the local communities will have fireworks. If downtown, your best bet will be to attend the Colorado Rapids Major League Soccor game to see the biggest and best fireworks display in Colorado.
Of course, just a short walk from everything is the Denver Art Museum, the Colorado History Museum, the Denver Mint, and several other smaller historic sites like the Molly Brown House and the Brown Palace.
Some of you might want to work this in to an all out vacation. If so, the magnificent Rocky Moutains are just west of town.
However you choose to plan your trip, hopefully you will spend some time here in this beautiful state we call home.
